Form W-9 Form 2010
Is this Tax form Legit?
My boyfriend recently applied for a job and they gave him a tax form to fill out and on the top left corner it says W-9 Rev. October 2007, why does it say 2007 if were in 2010. I need some info on that to know if its legit.
It’s legit.
The W-9 form has not been modified since 2007. It is simply the form companies need so that they can deduct taxes from your boyfriend’s paycheck…America uses a “pay-as-you-go” system of tax compliance. If you boyfriend’s employers did not use this form then you would have to worry…either because that means they are NOT legit, or because he would be slammed with a high amount of taxes he would owe when he goes to file.
