How much income does our sponsor need to have?
4 of us will be going to the US through a petition.
We were told at the interview that our affidavit of support is insufficient. it’s over $50,000.
our sponsor is single. so our size would be a total of 5.

so why was it rejected?
well, you’re right about the income level required, so perhaps the officer was wrong, or maybe there’s some problem you aren’t aware of, but you should have asked. simply saying it’s insufficient isn’t an answer. if your sponsor is also sponsoring others, that might account for it.
